Mamachat

The film reworks the childhood flower game into the language of a relationship that has turned harmful, with the phrases drawn from real accounts and testimonies. A single continuous white line runs through the whole piece, tracing figures, following the handwritten words and carrying the thread of the story from one scene to the next, while falling petals drive the camera moves and stitch the sequences together. We animated on twelves so the movement holds a slight tension rather than flowing smoothly, keeping the tone closer to something drawn by hand than something produced. The palette stays in a single pink, letting the writing carry the weight before the statistic and the call to action land.

  • Continuous line as narrative thread
  • Petals driving camera movement
  • Handwritten typography as voice
  • Animated on twelves for tension
  • Broadcast TVC for RAI
